Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1 to 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or avocado oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley, optional
  • 1 small garlic clove, grated or minced, optional
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish, optional
  • Extra buffalo sauce, for serving, optional

Method

  1. Prep the salmon. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels, then cut it into bite-size cubes. Dry salmon helps it crisp up better in the air fryer.
  2. Season the pieces. Place the salmon in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper, then gently toss to coat.
  3. Make the buffalo coating. In a small bowl, mix the buffalo sauce with the melted butter. This helps the sauce cling to the salmon and gives it a smoother finish.
  4. Preheat the air fryer. Set it to 400°F and let it heat for about 3 minutes. A hot air fryer helps the salmon cook evenly and brown a little on the outside.
  5. Arrange the salmon. Place the seasoned salmon pieces in a single layer in the basket. Leave a little space between pieces so the air can move around them.
  6. Cook the salmon. Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The salmon should be cooked through but still tender and moist.
  7. Toss with buffalo sauce. Transfer the hot salmon bites to a bowl and gently coat them with the buffalo butter mixture. If you want a stronger flavor, add a little extra sauce.
  8. Make the ranch yogurt dip. Stir together the Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning, lemon juice, and optional dill or parsley. Add the garlic if you want a sharper, more savory dip.
  9. Serve right away. Spoon the dip into a bowl and top with green onions if you like. Serve the salmon bites warm with celery sticks, carrots, or a simple side salad.
