Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, lemon wedges, sesame seeds

Method

  1. Prepare the salmon. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels. Cut it into even 1-inch cubes so the pieces cook at the same speed.
  2. Season the fish. Place the salmon in a bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Gently toss until the pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer. Set your air fryer to 400°F and let it warm up for about 3 to 5 minutes. A hot air fryer helps the salmon get a better exterior.
  4. Arrange the bites in the basket. Place the salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Leave a little space between each piece so the air can move around them. Work in batches if needed.
  5. Cook the salmon. Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the pieces halfway through. The salmon should look cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
  6. Check for doneness. For the best texture, remove the salmon when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. If you like it a little less done, you can pull it a minute earlier.
  7. Serve right away. Garnish with parsley, lemon wedges, or sesame seeds if you like. Serve the bites warm with rice, potatoes, noodles, or a fresh salad.
